Bandhavgarh National Park, India (Day 8)

The tigers are far from the trails today, but we have had a successful "expedition" this week after a slow start. 17 sightings of 6 separate tigers -- a few less than 25 feet from the vehicle.

Our last game drive was filled with interesting behaviors of other inhabitants of the forest: 1.) Alpha male black-faced langur threat display 2.) Crested hawk-eagle attempting to capture a peahen [female of peacock] and 3.) Peacock courtship display

Bandhavgarh has been an incredible experience. We found it interesting that we met no other American tourists during our visit to the park -- the vast majority were from the UK. In Delhi, one can see how the government is gearing up as a BRICS member -- with the growing international economic influence, suspect more US tourists will follow.
