Bandhavgarh National Park, India (Day 5)

Due to the persistence of our knowledgeable guide (and good fortune), we see even more tigers today! He follows the pug marks on the trails as well as listens for alarm calls by the deer (the primary prey of the tiger). We had made reservations for this experienced gentleman more than a year ago -- his expertise has already permitted us to obtain some amazing images. He actually "thinks" like these tigers anticipating their movements and then positions the vehicle to optimize the shots. Richelle and I agree that this morning's game drive ranks in our top ten wildlife encounters. Three subadult siblings (about 18 months old) with a recent spotted deer kill at one of the few remaining watering holes at the park. Amazing.
