Conservation efforts to protect the Jaguar from hunting in the Pantanal have strengthened with support of ecotourism to the region. We were informed that "Hopkins", the Jaguar we first discovered and were able to name on our last trip in 2008, remains healthy and has fathered numerous cubs over the years.
