Jaguars are identified by the unique spot pattern on
their foreheads. The scientists of the Brazilian
Jaguar Research Center were stationed at our camp in Mato Grosso. While exploring a remote region along the Rio Cuiaba, Richelle and I photographed an as-yet-unidentified cat (below) and
were thus given the honor to name that jaguar!
